2100 South Emigration Canyon, SLC
Danny and I both slept like crap last night and decided at 8am to go up the canyon for delicious breakfast. We had to wait about 15 minute for a lovely outside table and it was well worth the wait. "Mile high biscuits" came out before we even ordered.
What I got: Chicken fried steak, Scrambled eggs with cheese, and hash browns.
The chicken fried steak was melt-in-my-mouth good and I didn't really waste my time on anything else.
What Danny got: The cheese omelet with hash browns and an order of french toast.
Cost: Omelet - $5.50, french toast - $4.95
What he said: "This food is so good it's perverse."
All in all, there was so much tasty food for the money - neither of us came close to finishing. That's what she said.

300 Village Green, Lincolnshire, IL
I went here with Cassandra on my last day in IL. We sat outside, which is why the photo is funky.
What I got: Alpine scramble (eggs with ham, green onions and cream cheese) with Harbor Potatoes and an English Muffin.
Cost: "Your money is no good here" - Cassandra
The breakfast was so good...adding cream cheese to anything is never a bad idea. I'm normally averse to cubed potatoes, but the seasoning made them some of the best hash browns I've had.
Again, go here if you get the chance. The atmosphere is kitschy and the food is outstanding. Cassandra got lunch, so her food doesn't get to be blogged about, but if you go here for lunch, get the chicken salad.
831 W. Dundee, Wheeling, IL
Gerald and I went here on the morning we filled out our divorce papers.
What I got: Gyros omelet (add feta) with hashbrowns and pancakes.
The hash browns were sliced - overcooked in some places and undercooked in others. Pancakes were fluffly and delicious. The omelet was like sex on a plate. So good!
What Gerald got: 2 eggs, sunny side up, with hash browns, pancakes and ham off the bone.
What he said: "I liked it" The ham was actually so good that he took home the left over and made a ham and cheese sandwich.
(At the top of the picture, those are his arms...and that's hair, not flame tattoos)
Go if you get the chance. This place is always packed and the staff is friendly and helpful.

300 Northwest Highway, Palatine, IL
I went there at like 7:30 in the morning. It was 2 doors down from the place that was putting my trailer hitch on my car.
What I got: Minced ham & eggs with hash browns and pancackes.
Lots of food for the price. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the hash browns were shredded (totally superior to cubed or sliced) and perfectly cooked. The pancakes were too dense but the syrup was delicious. Also, the food was super fast!
Excellent value for the money and all around a place to go again.
